During half of the faculty meetings this year, teachers at my school will participate in Professional Learning Groups. We were able to pick our groups, and I chose to join the Community Garden Group. Today we got together to brainstorm ideas for improving our current space. Two of the projects I’ll be working on are creating more signage for the garden and updating the garden blog. During our meeting, we also had time to visit the garden and were able to taste some ripe cherry tomatoes! I’m excited to be a part of this PLG and to find ways to get students excited about the garden and involved in maintaining it!
