Clay, Slip and Mold

This is my first year teaching in my own classroom, and I’ve been experimenting with using slip to make clay projects. I have been getting frustrated because after a week or so, the slip starts to form black/gray mold and smell bad. I kept throwing the clay out and trying again, until I read this post and realized that mold is perfectly natural, and actually beneficial for the clay!
