I’m running the Boston Marathon on Monday. This week I let some students who had finished their other work make signs to hold on race day. After training for six months, I am so excited for race day. Wish me luck! If you’d like to track my progress, my bib number is #28,367.
I hosted a t-shirt and poster making fundraiser today. I had a lot of fun teaching kids how to silkscreen and tie-dye. After printing the ink with a screen and a squeegee, we put the shirts in the oven so the ink could set (dry) quickly.
Students also had the option of making posters to hold on Marathon Monday. I can’t wait to see them on race day!
I’m excited to announce that I’ll be running the 2015 Boston Marathon in support of Team Brookline and the Brookline Education Foundation! Running the Boston Marathon has been a goal of mine ever since I was an art education grad at BU, so it’s fitting that I’ll be running on behalf of the BEF. Hopefully this experience will inspire my students to take risks and push beyond the limits they perceive.
